Anita Briem is an Icelandic actress . She is best known as Hannah as the character she played on the film Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) and her role as Jane Seymour in the TV series The Tudors. Briem's acting journey began at National Theater Iceland when she was just nine years old. Her home country of Iceland she was involved in many plays, radio shows and TV shows as a young actress. Briem at the age of 16 went to London and performed in The production Lenin In Love at the New End Theater. Briem went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for a period of three years, and was awarded his diploma in acting. When she was studying at RADA he participated in numerous shows, which included The Cherry Garden by Anton Chekhov as well as Bernarda Alba's home in the play of Federico Garcia Lorca .
